However, in the Russian army there was also, although not as organized or efficient, an important health service. The Russians did not have ambulances like the French, they used common cars, but they did have vehicles with everything they needed to offer first aid on the battlefield…" UT

It is interesting that one of those with shelves appeared at an early stage of the 1821 Greek War of Independence as part of Th. Kolokotronis contingent, probably a heirdom from the Russians served in the Seven islands. It disappeared very early in the war, due to lack of funds probably … |
