How exactly do your mini's move through that or hide in it? Don't take that wrong… it looks really good, magnificent in fact, I just don't see it working very well on the tabletop. |

On a trip to Japan a few years ago I saw groves of bamboo so thickly grown that you would have been hard pressed to put your arm between stalks let alone your body festooned with equipment. I have made similar thickets for my Ronin Samurai games to denote such impassible groves. |

John, Like alan said, a thicket that thick was basically impassible. In Vietnam, hacking through bamboo that thick made enough noise to be heard kilometers away. Some were thin enough that you could crawl through. Something that thick would take hours to cut through. even a day if deep enough. Both NVA and VC could prepare a clearing inside the thicket and cut out enough to create almost undetectable low lines of fire to use for an ambush. |

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yes didn't intend figures to be able to go in. I have other pieces with trails hacked through and intend to arrange other groves on either side of trails, etc. |

Do you have a tutorial on how to make those magnificent bamboo pieces? Would love to read how you did them |

Dragon thanks a lot! I'll get something together. |

I gather they could even be a serious impediment to small arms fire and even cause premature explosion of HE. Brilliant modelling. |

deadhead, you are more than right on that! Small arms penetration just didn't happen. That's what fire support was made for! LOL. Hayes, I can't wait to see your next table. The one you did in that last game was already over the top. Look forward to seeing you at Spring Offensive. |
