I need suggestions for rules to use with 15mm Vietnam. Something simple, easy to understand. Will use for conventions. Some suppliers of figs would be handy too. Thanks all. |

Battlefront makes a lot of stuff, or did, unless they're out of stock of it again, as frequently happens. |

Peter Pig has a pretty extensive 15mm range. I can't help at all with rules. |

FNG by Two Hour Wargames. link For a convention game, everyone gets a fire team or squad and plays against the rules. Orders are to patrol an area, capture a prisoner, etc. VC or NVA show up as Possible Enemy Forces (PEFs) that are placed around the board. I would suggest pre-defining what each one is so you're not rolling them up randomly as they get resolved. Activation dice are rolled, squads with the right numbers get to activate. Players then move their troops. When a PEF comes into line of sight, the troops represented by the PEF are put on the table (could be anything from "nothing here" to a tank). An opposed roll is taken to see who shoots first and the mayhem begins. Download the free/generic version to see if you like the system: link |

This should help. I wrote summaries of many of the most popular rules sets for Vietnam. Are you looking to do skirmishes with players running a squad? Or will players command a platoon or more? Tour of Duty is the old name for "Flames of War: Vietnam" link |

Hi Mark When I click the link above I get to your Vietnam rules review. However, when I click on the rules, some come up as expected and others come up with a review for Shako. Ambush Alley, Charlie Don't Surf, and FNG are three that came up that way. |

You might consider "Vietnam" by RFCM . Used this a lot at Historicon and other shows. Went down very well. But depends on taste of course. Here is a full detail of the rules. Play-sheets etc free on PP website for download. Good luck with the project. martin |

A vote for the Peter Pig Vietnam rules. There are several quite distinctly different set-ups within them, and they are great fun. Also the grid system looks absolutely right with paddy fields! And of course a pretty complete range of figures and accessories to go with them. |
