US and its allies, including RSVN, in a conventional war against PRC and North Vietnam fought above the DMZ…at least to start with conventional and north of it anyway. Another Korean War, with the question who will blink first…… Does not bear thinking about. |

Ends in Korean War part II. Today at night South Vietnam has lots of lights and North Vietnam is all dark. |

The Chinese know and have said this before one way or another. They have the bodies to take the losses. Even if it goes nuclear, 20% of the world is Chinese and another 20% Indian. Back then China's GNP was not the 18% as it is today. In 2010 it was like 3-4 % IIRC. As we see today how the Coronavirus had effected the world markets. There just is no real positive economic outcome in it today … and not back then either really. But regardless when it comes to numbers the PRC can take a lot of losses no matter what. Today at night South Vietnam has lots of lights and North Vietnam is all dark. I believe there is a somewhat similar situation currently in the Koreas. With 40% of the Norks living in substandard conditions, starving, little to no med support, etc. |

My today would be after the Chinese join in and the end result would be two Vietnams divided at the DMZ. |

Probably … if things didn't get too out of hand … i.e. No WMDs … But again we see today how much the PRC's economy effects the 1st world. During the 60s with the Vietnam War going on, the PRC economy was not what it is today. They have the 2d largest economy behind the USA. |

"They have the 2d largest economy behind the USA". Out incompetent leaders are responsible for helping them with that. A pity how short-sighted they, and we still are over that threat. |

And this didn't happen recently. This has been going on for decades. Seems incompetent leadership is the standard and not the exception. But as we see the coronavirus may change somethings. E.g. The Market is going up today instead of going south. I, like many, have mutual funds … this makes me happy ! |
