I was asked which rules I would use for my Vietnam wargaming. I decided to give the "One-Hour skirmish wargames" rules by John Lambshead a try.
The game is a true one figure is one soldier game. Meaning the smallest maneuver unit is not a platoon or squad but a single soldier. The game doesn't use dice but ordinary playing cards ( think poker) to introduce randomness .

I have used this set for some American Rev and Banana Wars and found it to be excellent! |

That's some quick combat resolution. I'm not sure what to think about the suits. It seems a little counter intuitive to have a 2 beat a 9. |

79thPA I believe that the interpertaion was incorrect. The High Card Wins with the suits used for tie-breakers from what I am reading in the rules. |

Tomrommel1 it is an easy thing to miss, I learned that I had been making some other mistakes on activation and movement from your AAR. Thanks for posting. It was helpful to me. |
