Crann Tara miniatures – 28 mm

Very nice sculpts and clean casts, I just couldn't resist to have a go at those lovely miniatures.

In 1745 – some French units supported the Bonnie Prince Charlie – amongst them the Royal Ecossais – and Irish Piquets, here de Rooth, de Dillon and de Lally.
In Falkirk they fought side by side.
As usual I tried out some new methods of painting, this time the red of the Irish.

Also a photo showing the different colour sizes of producers showing the gigantesque but in very high quality produced GMB colour im comparison to Maverick colours.

So far as I could gather, in about 1745 the approximate size of usual units (not Guards) was about 160 cm square.
I am not yet fully satisfied with either results.

Very nicely done. Crann Tara figures sure are nice, aren't they. I like the pose of the infantryman.

Lovely figures, lovely paint job, and a vote for Maverick over GMB.

Superb figures, best I've seen of any manufacturer ever.

The paint job is too notch too.
