Hey all,
My wonderful wife thoughtfully bought me a pair of the Ophir paint racks as seen here:

Trouble is, they require a set of what they call "rubbers", they look like o-rings or small rubberbands as pictured here:

Naturally, they did not include them in either set. So…what's a good substitute as I have a feeling, due to recent decisions by USPS, I am going to have to look local for the parts. Got any ideas, august gentlemen?

Congrats on the new racks.

They're using the rubber bands to secure the tabs from slipping out. I think the main point of this method is it's removeable? So in the future you can disassemble the rack and pack it flat.

But will you ever do that? If not then just assemble with PVA glue, either yellow wood glue or household white glue.
