I'm looking for opinions. Does anyone else use Legos/Mega Blox for terrain in "serious" wargames? Mega Blox, though inferior to Legos, have some really great shapes for terrain building.

Either brick system can be assembled (possibly even "Cragled") and possibly painted to not look so much like bricks. They can even be used as frames for plasticard, etc, much as sprues are.

So am I the only one who uses them not just for toy gaming, but for "real" gaming or are there others here who do the same. Do we need to have an intervention and a 12 step program for this?

"Proper Use of the LEGO Trademark on a Web Site
If the LEGO trademark is used at all, it should always be used as an adjective, not as a noun. For example, say "MODELS BUILT OF LEGO BRICKS". Never say "MODELS BUILT OF LEGOs". Also, the trademark should appear in the same typeface as the surrounding text and should not be isolated or set apart from the surrounding text. In other words, the trademarks should not be emphasized or highlighted. Finally, the LEGO trademark should always appear with a ® symbol each time it is used."

Ok, leaving aside how it should be written or cited, I have used plenty of bricks for structural support, because sometimes you need a big plastic piece that you can cut and glue to support another plastic strip or a magnet, and also to add details (grids, boxes…).

There are beatiful pieces that you can use to add a misterious tech touch to your model. For example, look for the technic, tread link ref. 3873. You can use them as steps in a stair, or attaching four in a loop as an antenna protection box…

Here are two 6mm buildings made from an internationally known plastic brick company with coverings made with "Model Maker" software.

Pics of my examples:

The electric box is a 2x2 plate with a couple of 1x2 tiles posing as doors. Some 1x1 round tiles as machinery pieces and the pillars of the building are also big bricks.

The pipes brackets are made with some regular bricks.

The supports in the middle (blue) and the caps (black) are made with regular bricks and tiles. They serve as structure so I can glue and attach other pieces and as caps to provide a flat surface for a couple of 40 mm stands (you can see the glue marks there, because once the stands where in place I realised I needed to remove them in order to add more pipes).

Also, the black pipe in the front is made using a technical brick.
