Excellent article ahead of this post about Marbot; the painter Gericault; and the painting of the young officer of the Chasseurs a cheval of the Imperial Guard. I just realized that this is the anniversary of that battle, and also the birthday of William Tecumseh Sherman, great Union ACW general. GdeP |

Yes I'm the only person who seemed to care about but I'm glad that's not true. Eylau is one of my favorite Napoleonic battles but it's obscure. |

Mine too. That, Austerlitz and Waterloo are my three favorite Napoleonic battles to study. |
