A couple of interesting ones that I haven't seen. I'll have to see if my library has them.

I wouldn't consider "Seven Days in May" a war movie.

I agree that Seven Days in May is not a war movie, but it is a great movie!

Love Paths of Glory – the French WWI Army doesn't get much Hollywood treatment despite being in the thick of it since August 1914

Two of my favorite Kirk Douglas performances not listed:

-- Ulysses (1954)
-- The Devil's Disciple (1959)

You're right, Jack. But the article says "military" movies, which it is.

Although it paints the middle ages with a broad brush, I still love "The Vikings." The final attack on the castle is pretty hard to beat. A great action movie!

Yes , the Vikings end scene is awesome . And he made many a great western esp '' last train from gun hill '' and despite its corny title , a superb film it very much is and of course it was made by the same chap as Mag 7 …
However , the claim made by Natalie woods friend against the chin always made me look at him in a different light .

I liked him in "Cast A Giant Shadow" …

I believe that he actually did the awesome oar-jumping stunt in "Vikings". It was pretty dang impressive!

Kirk plays Patton in Is Paris Burning?

I was totally convinced it was Robert Stack, but equally that both of them were hopeless candidates to play Patton. Sure enough however KD!

He did do the oar jumping in Viking, local papers had a really good write up about it with pictures.
