I had mine painted too……

But now I am going back to redo him. The highlights here, esp the facial features, are superb

If anything this shows the facial features even better. I have also been inspired to paint his water bottles and belt kit in a much lighter shade than I have used so far. A couple of washes to then tone down +++ and the detail effect is superb.

I do find pictures like this so instructive still;
