…came w/ the Warlord Games "Hail Caesar!!" supplement, "Britannia – Rome's Invasion of Britain?" Was it a "mother & child?" I.E., a woman w/ long-hair worn loose, wearing a cloak over a fringed "bodice," and that worn over a skirt (or a long tunic). She's holding a "toddler" on her right hip (held by her right arm), and holding a Gallic-style Roman helmet in her left hand? Thanks in advance for help identifying the figure! |

I thought it was a guy sacrificing a lamb or goat. Also, there was a Caesar fig too. |

The guy riding the sheep/goat was a character named 'Sausages' (close enough for my narration) and came in SPQR. |

The guy 'Sausages' ("sacrificing," he is not "riding!") the critter, is not that to which I am referring. The figure is clearly a No. European (German, or Celt) female holding to her upper body a "toddler" (cradled by her right arm), and holding a Roman legionary-style helmet in her left hand. I have two, and I have two copies of "Britannia" (the WG supplement), which makes me think it was the Lim-Dis figure for that book. But right now the book is OOP at WG, and they have taken down the page where they offered the book originally (or so it seems). Help ID-ing the figure is greatly appreciated!! |

I know the one you mean. I thought I saw it in reference to Warlord Games because I was recently looking for it. Found the original offer from 2016 here: link It's called warrior wife.
Now to try and find one. |

Why don't they sell these figures separately after a year or so? There are a couple of ancient Greek civilian sets they do out of stock so why not cast more? |

I finally found the artwork (by Angus McBride) that she was based on here:
"Legionaries in Marching Order, c. 130AD" by the late Angus McBride (d. 2007), on pg. 27 of the Concord Pubs., Imperial Rome at War (1996). I'm not sure which I like better -- the way Warlord had her painted in 2016, or the way Angus McBride painted her! I'm LEANING towards the late Mr. McBride! Thanks Damion, for helping nail this down! |
