Tabletop Games website for Recon is now open. There are about 15 games submitted. It may be early, but deadlines creep up quickly. We have 6 of 7 game slots on the SATF table filled. Bill Hogan is running a Spanish American War game an I am running a WW I turkish game. The other 4 games are tbd. Days Hotel is taking reservations. Time to get the show on the road.

Hope to see many of the folks I have talked to on here over the years at the show. As many of you regulars know a great show in a terrific location. Add in the hotel has been undergoing a major renovation and a great venue has gotten even better.

I did Rudy and will miss him. I had several nice chats with him and his wife at our shows, great people. I also had one of his paint racks and several of his buildings.

I got my reservation direct from the hotel. You might consider putting the hotel number on the site. 407-396-1400
The reservation company charges a $20 USD processing fee and hits your card for the full amount early.
At Siege of Augusta I paid the $20 USD but they did not know of any special rates and hit the card for the full amount early.

I made my reservations no problem using the link on the Table Top site and there was no processing fee. In fact never a processing fee yet in all the years I have made reservations with them. Also my card isnt charged until right before the stay and that is for one night which is refunded if you cancel prior to the cut off time. They do block off I believe it is $50 USD on your card for any incidentals but they dont charge your card unless you do something like take a snack from the in room tray.

Nonetheless no harm in making reservations via the number you provided just make sure you let them know you are with HMGS and get the special rate of $82 USD a night with no resort fee. I think they resort fee is now up to something like $17 USD?

I know we still have 2 and a half months before the con but I think its time for people to complete their plans, buy badges, submit games and sign up for games. According to the tabletop website game submission closes March 27th 2020. Preregistration closes April 3 2020. That is about 7 weeks from now. Marc could you check to see if that is accurate.

I have gotten my game in the PEL, made my hotel reservations and even signed up for one game already.

That is one nice thing about Table Top. Once you pay your registration you are free to sign during the pre-registration period at any time up to the cut off. You can grab a slot in a game you really want to play in now and then wait to see what other games appear before using your other selections.

The SATF table schedule has been finalized. All 7 slots are full. Dwight Jones will run his Canoe race game Thursday night and Friday Morning, Mike Lucas will run a Sandanista game Friday afternoon, Mark Cooledge will run a French foreign Legion game Friday night, Bill Hogan will run a Spanish-American war game Saturday morning, Ed Wade will run a game Saturday afternoon called Lord Clemson's Niece is missing, and I will run a WW I British-Turk game Saturday night. Once pre registation picks up these games will close fast. If you want to play in one register and sign up as soon as possible.
