I sent them an e-mail a while ago about an order that I would like them to bring to a wargames show that they will be attending but no reply. I could of course simply order online and have them ship the order but not replying to e-mails does not inspire confidence in me. I have been burned too many times in the past. Does anyone have experience with ordering online from brother-vinni.com/index_eng.htm ? Good, bad? Thanks |

Try PM via Lead Adventure Forum, or messaging via Facebook. |

Thank you. I sent a FB message, let's see if I get a reply there. The customer comments on their FB page are not very good: no replies to e-mails, orders only sent after 6 months, incomplete orders etc.. More reasons not to have them ship but try to pick up at the show. We'll see. |

Never had a problem; probably placed about 8+ orders to date. I'm based in the UK, and generally get my orders within a month. I always get an email confirming shipment of the goods; I think they are shipped from one of the eastern EU countries (Slovenia or Slovakia)? Emails can always disappear into spam… They attend a number of the EU conventions. |

Resin casting is a slow process and I suspect they have problems keeping things in stock: casting, mould-making, sculpting(!), answering correspondence, packing orders, filling out the paper work, taking orders to post office, travel for business, recovery from said travel, raise family, "weather"…plus, perhaps, a "day job"(?)… |

Customer service ain't a slow job though… |

I've ordered from him and haven't had an issue. |

Matching an email to an order could be a time consuming process depending on how many there are. |

There is no order to match; my e-mail and FB msg was to ask him if I could place an order for him to bring to the wargames show in Ghent on Feb 8. The answer to that would be a simple yes or no and would take him 30 seconds to write and send. An e-mail can indeed end up in his spam folder but a FB msg cannot so no reply after two weeks for the e-mail and 5 days for the FB msg is very poor customer service in my book. I used to run a successful ready-made miniatures painting service back when I was living in the Philippines and my customers never had to wait longer than 24 hours at the most for a reply, no matter how busy I was. Yes, I sometimes had to spend several hours a day replying to e-mails but I always saw that as part of doing business and most of all, as a common courtesy. When someone mails or msg me I reply and I expect that from others too. |
