A selection of resin printed Russian vehicles at 1:285th scale. The STL files are from various sources, including Mark Bergman's excellent offerings on Thingiverse:
The barrel of the T-26 is 0.57mm in diameter, as measured post-printing. Robert |

Those look great! How did you determine what percent to reduce those files? I have the same files. Thanks. John |

The Bergman files are at 1/100th scale so for 1/285th scale you print at 35% (35.09 if you want to be 100% accurate lol) I use Frank Crenshaws excellent program Scalecalc found here link |

Monk, Can you tell us about your printer? Mark |

These look great! I have been scaling his tanks up to 1:150 for use with 10mm. He is an amazing designer. |

The printer is a Formlabs Form 3, printing at 50 micron layers. It can resolve down to 25 microns with the grey resin but doesn't make a great deal of difference at this scale. Robert |

There is another good tool for calculating differences in scales here: link Robert |

Unfortunately, a Form 3 runs about $3,500 USD here in the States, so I guess I will not be printing at that resolution. |

There are several resin printers that will print to that level of resolution and cost less than 10% of the Form 3. Check out the latest Little Wars TV video for an example: youtu.be/aD7n1TUbLJs Robert |

You have to be careful when scaling 1:100 and larger files down to 1:285; less so with 1:200 but can still be an issue. The model will be an exact replica but the printed version may be less robust – axles, fenders, gun barrels, etc become too small to be printed or too weak to withstand any pressure at all. Robert |
