I do love seeing the 'Classic' Eldar models. Kudos on the conversions, BTW; I'm guessing the 3 on the bottom right are… maybe Nightwing Interceptors? And the row behind the Grav Cannons would be … either Unicorns or Firestorms? Hmmm… must be Unicorns, as you have the Released Firestorms right behind the Wave Serpents. I thought that second squad was a set of the 'Unreleased', at first! Specifically, These fellows:
And the Elder Tempest is close to being my favorite 6mm vehicle of all time; not sure why, it just is. Probably related to their absolute Boss-ness in 1st & 2nd edition… Plus, such an aesthetically pleasing design ! |

Yes I was able to get the Limited release vehicles, we called them Eldar X-Vehicles. You can see them in the front 2 rows in green. The 3 tan ones I kitbashed … As well as the first Green Grav Tank … use as Tempest.

And the row behind the Grav Cannons would be … either Unicorns or Firestorms? Those tan ones are original Falcons with the actual Wave Serpent turret they were going to use but they went with the "sail". As you see two of the released Wave Serpent in green in the middle of the 3d row. And the 3 light brown Falcons in the front I kitbashed. Again using the original plastic Falcons. I use all these various X-Falcons and these kitbashed ones just as Falcons. As you can see there are 3 version of the X-Vehicle Falcon turrets. And the 4 green X-Vehicle in the front were supposed to be Doom Weavers i.e. Night Spinners. And I use them as such. |

Another view … you can see the 3 Kitbashed "Tempest Mk.IIs i.e Scorpions … And behind those are 2 more X-Vehicles in green. I used as Warp Hunters Mk.IIs i.e. = Cobras

Those tan ones are original Falcons with the actual Wave Serpent turret Interesting ! I admit I don't recognize that turret. You say it's mounted on an original falcon; the plastic ones I presume? Do you have any other pictures of that original wave serpent design? I can't quite visualize what 's going on there, and I also can't find any references on the web… the 4 green X-Vehicle in the front…Doom Weavers I've been using mine as Farseer Falcons/ Command Peregrines. That spiked barrel on the turret was very reminiscent of the psi-cannon, and I'd always assumed it was a similar tech. I've recently considered using them as Harlequin Venoms; narrower than a Falcon (although honestly still a bit too big) 2 more X-Vehicles in green = Cobras Nice! I've been using mine as Scorpions. As much as I like the 'no save' ability, The 2x template drift drives me batty against anyone but Orks & IG. |

Yes, the original Wave Serpent turret I mounted on a plastic Falcon. The turret was to be mounted on the original Wave Serpent Hull. But they went with the tall sail thing instead. I don't think there was a different hull other then one the released for the Wave Serpent. Here is the original Wave Serpent –
Here's the unreleased Wave Serpent Turret close up on the plastic Falcons –
The turret would replace the "sail" turret on the oval base of the Sail. I'm using the Deathstalker Prism Cannon = Fire Prism and Warp Hunter as a Cobra. I'm using Tempests as Scorpions. Trying to keep all models in line with the E:A rules. |
