Here's the start of my first painting project for 2020 – the Gardes Françaises as per Henri Félix Emmanuel Philippoteaux's 1873 painting, 'The Battle of Fontenoy, 1745: The French and the Allies Confronting Each Other'. The figures are 1/56th scale Crann Tara Miniatures – exquisitely elegant figures, perfect for this period. More info here: link

I should clarify: when I said 'beautiful' figures in the headline, I meant beautifully posed and sculpted figures by Crann Tara Miniatures. I wasn't meaning to praise my own painting! |
