I saw recently where a common site that "houses" photos shut down. I believe it was free. How to you others put your photos on this page? Sites for a fee are fine with me! GdeP |

Create a blog, post your pictures, add a few descriptive words, link your blog posts to a TMP post. It's what I do. jim-duncan.blogspot.com |

There are other services out there as well. Say flickr.com flic.kr/p/3BkMbn]
I used "BBCode" and trimmed off the "start URL and end URL on Flickr" to get this website to see it was an image. |

Partial success. Too small. Back to the website! These are Stadden 30mm conversions from the 1960's. GdeP |

I like the blog posting option better since I can add a few words or a lot of words to go with each picture which can add context and other useful information about an image. |

The best way is to control the size of your photo before you upload it onto one of these pages. GIMP is a free version of photoshop that work very well, but takes some time to learn. The PostImage page gives two sizes "Direct link" (full size) and "thumbnail". I have not been able to get the Thumbnail to work. But Flickr has many sizes and this is the large of the above "small" version of the snowy truck.

If you have a Facebook page, they provide a photo album for you and you can Right-Click to open an image in a new tab in a browser and then copy the url. You can post it as a link or flag it as an image with: I am leaving a space between each character, you will need to remove this "[ i m g = " and end with " ] p i c t u r e [ / i m g ] "

I will try it, so frustrating to try posting photos here. No just cannot do it, such a shame would love to share my minis here, why they changed the simple way of simply clicking add image function I will never know!! |

If you have a Blog. Please provide a link to it, and I will try and find a way to post the photos from it on this form. There are some tricks with prefix and postfix to make a photo show properly. Here is guidance posted by the editor to help you get the results you want. TMP link |

I think (stress think) the reason for the problem is that, although the image appears to be on TMP, it does not actually occupy any computing space….and images can mean lots of those byte things. They can prove expensive….. Instead it is exploiting a link via this URL thing to create an image, that actually exists on a photo storage site. If the image is lost on the image share, it disappears off TMP (as you will see in so many older topic threads) I have long used Imageshack, as FAQs recommended it and it was free. OK, I now pay a small annual sub and there was once an awful loss when the site was hacked, but entirely happy with that service. |

i had a difficult time to make the pics appear in a thread. one solution is to copy the pic adress , then add – "bracket img bracket" > at the start and "bracket slash img bracket" at the end of the address. if not the pic will just appear as a hot link. FWIW
