Cruising 28mm SF websites without success. Can anyone recommend a good "not Kimball Kinnison" in his grays? Or some Dutch-Valerians with space axes to accompany him?

After the last few movies, I'm ready to move on from kids with light sabers and daddy issues. Time to load up the Dauntless and go hunting for space pirates!

I don't know about any figures that would be a good proxy. But I have seen some one on Shapeways making the ships as described in the book, and they're doing a pretty good job on those as teardrop shaped ships.

Years ago, I saw a Lensman animated movie. It was good, but I have not seen it since.

Read the books, MW. Doc Smith's "Lensman" books are the ur-Space Opera. Everything else comes from them.

I read them as a kid. My Dad was into pulp science fiction. He had a fifty year collection of sci fi magazines.
