Dreamblade Repainted

Hundvig Fezian is not a real big fan of pre-painted minis, and he positively despises randomly-packed "collectable" ones - so why is he writing this article?

…Downing Of Airliner Despite New Video

"Several high-ranking officials have made statements about possible American "disruption of Iran's radar network" and "cyberattacks" that appear to be in preparation of a new official scenario to explain the missile attack on a Ukrainian airliner on January 8.

Ahmad Jannati, the hardliner Chairman of the Guardian Council on Wednesday said the possibility of "enemy sabotage" is being investigated by authorities.

Brigadier General Ali Abdollahi, the Coordinating Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces General Headquarters, on Wednesday said a team has been formed to probe the possibility of an American cyberattack that could have disabled the Iranian radar system…."

Like I would believe anything coming from them.

So much easier to point at the battery commander and the operator that pushed the button and hang them out to dry.

They are having other issues also, their ballistic missiles were not very accurate. Were their missile guidance systems corrupted?

Local microwave oven use would be a better thought….. but the wave length may need adjustment. Heat a batch of popcorn…. missile launch on automatic control and control missile by the oven.

I do believe SA-15s have an optical guidance system with Thermal Imaging as well as radar guidance. So disrupting the radar would mean the operators would just switch to optical guidance and seen an airliner.

Just sounds to me they hadn't got their battlespace management sorted with a SAM no fire zone on the airport departure route.

I expected this accusation to have been made sooner.

I still think it was a horrific error due to lack of communication between the military and civilian aviation authorities. No doubt air defence was placed on high alert after missiles were launched and then the battery commander saw something that might not have been in his briefing (assuming he had one) and pulled the trigger.

No doubt training and C3 probably isn't world class.

(I also think the Malaysian jet was downed over the Ukraine for the same reason).

I doubt we remotely activated their firing button, twice in rapid succession, with a cyber attack.

Cyber warfare is supposed to disrupt systems from working, not fire them off.

Typical lies, as usual, and predictable.

Pathetic

And Scary too… specially if you have to fly on that zone….
