For all the Battlewagon Buffs between games, have yet to start putting together their first fleet or simply cannot get enough playing time with miniatures, here's a way to squelch that craving during the down times. Seriously, I do this a lot with PC games that are essentially miniature games using electrons, because I just don't have the time or resources to start another historical era, and I already have enough lead in the basement to sink a . . . wait for it . . . Dreadnought.

That game looks pretty good.

Thanks for the review. Can you tell whether the game will allow for historical scenarios with the appropriate ships or are they all designed from scratch?

Thanks.

On the forum the devs said that they do not have plans to do historical scenarios because of the way ship generation occurs in game. They have a certain number of hulls and components that don't always allow for accurate recreation of all ship classes and that creating assets to cover a reasonable number of engagements is not feasible given the size of the team they are working with and budget.

That aside, I've enjoyed tinkering with the ship building and do find it to be a pretty fun game even if the AI needs a little improvement and some other Quality of Life factors should be implemented for playability.

In the custom battles you can have the AI produce a fleet for you without going thru the building process. I guess you could use this to design an approximation of Jutland or something.

Seriously, when compared with the Age of Sail, the choices for big battles are limited. I've got all the Victorian Admirals PC games, and there's not a lot going on.

My hope is that the Campaign system might allow for something like Plan Orange.

And oh yeah, mea culpa, but the Holy Maritime Warriors of the Tsar are fully represented.

Think this might work since I made the page Public. Here is my album on OD of all 19 images I submitted for the article:
