Has anyone attempted to use Black Powder rules for fighting Aztecs vs Spanish? |

it may have been a video about a show in the UK, check wargaming illustrated videos or the terrain tutor. |

I do and actually, in my opinion, Hail Caesar is a better fit. There were no real pike units under Cortez. There may have been some pike units in the Peruvian civil war between Pizarro and Almagro during the Battle of Las Salinas. The Spanish never faced cavalry in the New World and the Toledo sword and adarga equipped Conquistadors provided the best infantry troop type to face the Aztecs and other indigenous armies. Again in my opinion, the Aztec tepoztopilli is better described under the long spear designation of HC than the pike rules of P+S. |

I have not but I understand Kings of War Historical has lists for both armies if that interests you. |
