Even without translating, the pictures are great. Must go back and translate the caption for the "Indischen Priester:" is this like a Sikh chaplain or something? Grelber |

So, the "Indischen Priester" thing goes like this using a machine translation: In his book (Fighting the Fuzzy-Wuzzy), Cosson describes an Indian priest who was found in the camp of the Indian contingent: "There was one priest in the Indian contingent who was a really unusual character. His turban consisted of a miraculous structure that grew up from year to year, like his holiness. For each further story or deed, a metal disc was tied into the turban, causing its headgear to reach an impressive height of almost 6 feet. It is said that he never takes off his turban, not even when he goes to sleep. His only weapon is a stick and his greatest endeavor is to kill Mohammedans in a crowning act of humanity. " Not clear if he is an official chaplain or just worked his way in, but would still be a great figure to model for a Sudan game. Grelber |
