Do we have a gaming plans/resolutions/hopes thread yet for 2020? Couldn't see one, so here's mine!

Primarily to focus! Whittle down the collection of periods I'll never get to, and get those miniatures off to a better home. It's inevitable I'll regret the loss of some later, but …oh well.

With what I'll keep, I'm fired up with enthusiasm for 20mm WWII. Got to dig into the pile of unmade kits, and finish the range of GIs I'm sculpting.

15mm AWI. Gotta kick that project into high gear as well.

How about you guys?

I remember learning in psychology class that people with moderate, achievable, goals were generally the happiest and most emotionally stable.

With that in mind, I plan to attend the three major local game conventions, and attend as many sessions of my friend's current Traveller game as possible. If I feel that I need a little additional challenge, I'll run a miniatures game at one of the conventions -- probably a scenario that I've run previously.

1) Continue to get rid of the excess lead/plastic pile
2) Actually play some games this year.
3) Finish several units that are 1/2-3/4 painted (for several years) and paint some DBA armies I've had for many years.

Working on the e-newsletter for the local gaming group. Finishing some painting, what gets done, gets done. Playing in my Friday Group. Attending the local conventions. Not planning on running any games as I've been advised that folks don't really like the scenarios. More solo gaming.

Attend some more cons and play more at local friends. I kept count for last year, and I was bale to play 31 games. It helps that I'm semi-retired :)

Get as many of my partially painted mini's across the finish line; finish two grand gaming projects: figures to paint, plus terrain to make. All are achievable, if I apply myself. Life has a way of interfering with my plans, unfortunately.

I also plan to run more fantasy miniatures games, as well as running more than five RPG sessions, this year. That, alone, is more challenging, due to coordinating six schedules to make it work (their schedules need to mesh with mine, and my wife's, to make a game happen…)! May run with one player missing, out of four. I have a new, solid hardwood, custom gaming table arriving at my house within the next four weeks. Gotta get some usage out of it, to justify the money; wife will use it for cutting out quilts, and other fabric projects, as well, so it isn't just for me, even though I will use it far more than she will. >;-) Cheers!

My plans for this year are the same as last year.

Play More. Buy Less.

I got that backwards last year so have to see how this year goes.
