I know that Hesse Darmstadt had a battery of horse guns by 1809 but can find nothing on their uniform. I have the foot artillery uniform but expect that the horse company would have some differences. Any help would be appreciated.

It is not clear.
It appears that in the early period they would have looked like Prussian Horse Artillery (bicornes and cavalry boots) and had the same colors as their counterparts in the foot artillery. This is the direction I went for my force in 6mm.

By 1809 they were transitioning to the shako but again, same general uniform and color scheme as the foot artillery.

However, it appears that over time some states copied the French Horse Artillery uniforms with dolmans and shakos. I cannot find anything that states which direction the horse artillery in Hesse Darmstadt went.

Hessian terminology does not follow the usual French terminology. A Hessian battery was 2 pieces of ordnance (sometimes 2 guns and a howitzer) whilst a company was an administrative pool of personnel – the assembled artillery force in the field was often referred to as a division.

In 1808 the artillery accompanying the Hessian force to Spain was drawn from Captain Kuhlmann's company and amounted to 4# 6pdrs

In 1809 the artillery accompanying the Hessian force on the Danube was formed from the remaining elements of Captain Kuhlmann's company, Captain Schueler's company and the horse battery (1# 6pdr and 1# 7pdr howitzer from the horse) for a atotal of 5# 6pdrs and 1# 7pdr howitzer.
There is no evidence of any mounts being provided to the Hessian horse battery or of it being deployed as anything other than a foot battery.

As to uniforms there appears to be no difference between foot and horse – shakoes were issued to the Darmstadt garrison in 1807 and the remainder of the corps in 1808.

Both bicorn and shako are evidenced in Spain in late 1808. Artillery Train wore a rather flat corsehut style roundhat that was modernised to a more recognisable corsehut in 1809, issued in 1810.

See post by Markus Stein at link
with a nice picture from 1813-14 taken from "Die Achenbach-Handschrift 1813-1814 – Abbildung des Grossherzoglich Hessischen Militair" with the comment "hows 3 gunners and 1 drummer – there exist 51 plates of the Hessian Darmstadt army of 1813/1814 … the text states that the uniforms of 1809 for the artillery had only minor changes until 1820."
