Does anyone have a good vendor they use to make fields & crops?

The only place I currently know of is Ebay.

Thanks for any tips.

Hobby Lobby sells small packs of fur. It's not in the fabric section, but over in the crafts area.

I always use Killing Fields Terrain. A great product.

And of course teddy bear hunting season, think that starts most places in January

Fabric stores.

On-line will provide more selection.

Beware, teddies can be vicious when cornered, or threatened.

Thanks all for the good suggestions. Plenty to ponder.

Ideally you should be looking for faux fur. It's a lot more expensive than acrylic fur fabric but the results it gives can be much more realistic looking. I bought mine from a fabric wholesaler who let me rummage around in their storage area to find what I wanted.

The Killing Fields stuff is dyed faux fur. However, I think it could be much improved by trimming and some additional colouring – the even colour doesn't look natural. For trimming a pair of long bladed sharp scissors are best. Keep turning the matt to change the direction you cut at. It takes hours and hours to do but the end result is well worth it.

At night you might find unwanted teddy bears roaming the streets

Beware! The woods of Endor are carpeted with the bodies of Imperial Stormtroopers who thought it was safe to hunt teddy bears.

So, are there a bunch of naked teddy bears running around? And as responsible wargamers, what are we going to do about it?

robert piepenbrink Supporting Member of TMP28 Dec 2019 6:41 p.m. PST

Ship them rogaine, d88mm1940?

d88mm194028 Dec 2019 7:32 p.m. PST

!!! We don't want a bunch of naked, horny teddy bears scratching at our windows, going through the trash cans, chasing the cats do we?

I pay a high monthly premium for online content to see naked Teddy Bears… but that's a story for another day.

I got some from Mendels in San Francisco 3 years ago. The name may be wrong though. They did send me 8 swatches which was super nice, it was a standard practice.

d88, Rogaine is supposed to regrow hair. You're thinking of some other popular chemical for males--whose name escapes me.

jefritrout30 Dec 2019 10:30 a.m. PST

I tend to buy mine from Joann's Fabrics or Hobby Lobby. Both of them carry faux fur and have some nice coupons.
