….Crusader 1911

"Outlaw Ordnance and the Kahr Firearms Group have teamed up to bring the firearm industry some pretty gnarly custom pistols in the last couple of years, and they are at it again. Magnum Research has dropped their 2nd "Warrior Traditions" pistol with the unveiling of a Custom Desert Eagle Crusader 1911 chambered in .45 ACP which was professionally Cerakoted by none other than Outlaw Ordnance. This pistol is going to have an MSRP of $1,250 USD and allegedly only 50 firearms are going to be made. The complete specifications for the Crusader 1911 can be read below:…"

Boutique 1911. Kahr bought Auto-Ordnance some years ago. They made budget 1911's of decent quality, but not really inspired. From what I hear quality hasn't really improved and they are trying to get into the high-end 1911 market by producing "tacky" guns that appeal to a certain segment of the market who want a gun that looks prestige, but doesn't break the bank, though you still end up paying 1200 smackaroons for a gun that is normally half the price. Not saying cheap guns are bad, Rock Island's 1911's are low price and on average a lot of bang for the buck.

Someone is trying too hard. Mishmash of styles. Plenty of people making very good looking 1911s for that price.

It looks like merchandise for some anime I haven't seen…

I am a 1911 guy and this doesn't look appealing to me. But to each his or her own.
