The Series on the Spitfire Sisters got me thinking about the ATA.

Did any of the planes being ferried by the ATA get jumped by Germans?

Cheers, Xin

As far as I know, no.
The ATA operated in circumstances when, theoretically, they should have been safe.

However it most famous member, aviator Amy Johnson, died flying for the ATA and there is the suggestion that she was shot down in a friendly fire incident.
