I have some nice sturdy cardboard boxes that will make great storage boxes for wargame figures. They previously held electronic components and have multiple stickers on them which will interfere with my labeling them as I wish. Does anyone know of a way to remove the stickers without tearing off a layer of the underlying cardboard or even worse so much of the cardboard as to expose the corrugated part inside? Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks. |

Just add your own blank or text label over the other ones. |

Some stickers will slide off if you warm them up slightly in the microwave or with a hair dryer. A hair dryer may also dry up a sticker so that it comes off easily. |

Well how 'bout that? Boxes are too big for the microwave, but a few minutes with a hair dryer and the stickers are all gone. Thanks EiC! |

And Bobgnar, yeah, that was plan B. |

I was going to suggest razor blades, but a hair dryer sounds a lot safer. Glad it worked (and I'm making a note for future reference). |

Lighter fluid will remove the sticker and evaporate away |

Bill, thanks for the tip on the hair drier! I reuse boxes frequently, so that's going to improve next year's shipments of birthday gifts and stuff. |

Good one Bill ! I reuse as many boxes as I can and that will make life easier. Its always the simple ideas that you don't know about that work out most useful. |
