The infantry looks a bit linear?

Please stop stealing pictures from my blog and posting them here. When/if I want to post on TMP I can do it myself.

Tango0119 Dec 2019 12:20 p.m. PST

I think we have different concepts about the word stealing …

Still: take (another person's property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it.

I definitely don't "still" anything on your property … I've just "lifted" a photo of a battle with miniature soldiers and posted it on TMP … as a lawyer … I don't see a legal impediment about it … and returning it is not necessary … because it is in sight of anyone who visits your page …

So let's take off our masks and tell the truth …

"Please stop to pick up pictures from my blog and posting them here …. because I don't want them to appear on TMP … place that I don't have the least respect or sympathy…"

I think that's frankly over the top and then some. When I've wanted to share my meagre efforts I've posted them from time to time. Your final paragraph beggars belief, you really cant arrive at that conclusion from my comment.

'As a lawyer' Armand, I suppose you are familiar with the concept of intellectual property rights?

Of course copyright infringement is not 'theft' in the narrow definition of appropriation without permission with an intent to permanently deprive, but it is not legal.

Difficult to see how this misuse would fall under any of the fair use exceptions – no research, no comment, no study – just straight cut and paste of someone else's property, against their explicit instructions.

I certainly respect this place, just as I respect the rights of IP holders to not have their material copied and published electronically without their permission.

[PS – very nice pics and game David.]

I have to agree with Gwydion, Armand. You should simply have apologised and promised not to publish any of YankeePedlar01's photos without his permission again. That would, I'm sure, have resolved the matter amicably and fairly.

I don't think so
I am the copyright owner of the works and the following is true and accurate.

I'm not.
YankeePedlar01 is though.

But I would have thought a simple request to Bill to ask Tango01 to respect YP01's IP would be a better start than involving a takedown notice directed at this site.
