A couple of requests for a comparison of the new kit to the Heller Sherman elsewhere so thought Id put it up here to.
Done a couple of comparison pics of the PSC M4A2, which is the one with extra track links on the hull front, next to it a Heller and a PSC hybrid.

and next to the Heller.

There is a difference in height caused by the thickness of the PSC tracks, popped the heller on a 1.5mm base for the pics.
The figure is the new 'Joe' figure, makes a nice tank commander.
Hope that helps

Wow, in the first pic the Heller one looks so much narrower and otherwise smaller too… :o

Close up photography makes things that are closer look far bigger. Particularly using a smartphone.

Very interesting. Do you have catalogue number for the new Heller, Leon?

Thanks Andy, yeah saw there were older models but was wondering which you used Leon. Think I can work that out now.

Basic paint job done. Next a coat of varnish, decals, finishing the tracks some panel washes and general weathering. Adding some crew and a bit more stowage and then its done.

I found this invaluable as I am new back into AFVs in this scale. Working on 2eDB and waiting on two Heller M4A2s coming through the current postage system. The Heller model of Leclerc's Division Sherman got rave reviews.

I'll be honest and say that I thought PSC produced simplistic snap together models for immediate table top use. I was however impressed by the range (e.g. very hard to find an M5 Half Track anywhere else). Also amazing how many sites carry images of the box tops for every type of Sherman, with the suffix "out of stock".

I have increasingly seen what folk can do with these models and I am really impressed! Thanks for this and the link to the Heller review

I see Airfix has a new 1/72 Firefly in the works.

Prety much finished just a few bits of smaller stowage to fit and ariels need adding.
Decals the excellent set from Dan Taylors model shop, stowage, spare tracks are from OKB, big tarpulin is a Value Gear one, the ammo box on the rear decking from Model Trans, the rest scratch built. Cew and browning from Adler Miniarures forth coming Jalopy crew range.

The PSC Firefly kit with added sand shields as added stowage holders. Paint job done lots of stowage to be added. Crew figure is our Lt. Colonel J.O.E. Vandeleur figure.
