Just wondering if anyone makes replacement barrels for 15mm armoured vehicles. I was wondering as I have bought a load of vehicles including french panhard amd armoured cars from qrf. The cannon on these is super thin and comes all bent up so brakes and isn't any good. So thought I'd replace with something stronger.

Amy ideas?

Used to be a chap trading under three name Combat Wombat, who made superb milled metal barrels. Appears he no longer in business however.

Nylon/plastic brush bristles.

I normally use brass rod held in a pin vice and filed to a bit of a taper for smaller sizes or built up with miliput and then filed (like I do lances for 15mm gendarmed) for larger ones.

Thanks all….looks like I may just end up making some. I've heard of brush bristles for aerials..but not for barrels….interesting.

The after market for plastic modellers will have plenty of guys who do milled metal barrels. Bit of googling and you will likely find one that does 1/100 scale barrels.

I am aware of replacement barrels down to 1/87th for plastic kits but not for 1/100th. Here is the Aber site. If you scroll down to the "BR" and "BT" section you will find brass rod and brass tubes which may be of some help:

This company in Germany does have a few in 1/87th:

There was a company years ago, Combat Wombat, which had an extensive line of 15mm milled barrels but they are long gone. I believe the business was sold but unable to find who took it over and if they still even exist.

One of the companies does 1/100 naval guns so I remember that had replacements for 20mm & 37mm barrels

You could try RB models: link

They don't have 1:100 stuff, but they do produce an awful lot of barrels in al shapes and sizes.
I'm going to use their 1:350 DP gun upgrade barrels for the King George V class to fix a 15mm 2pdr gun problem with a whole bunch of Cruiser tanks…
Those are 5 Euros for sixteen barrels.
