Apart from making for attractive scatter terrain, skirmish rules like Sharp Practice and Lion Rampant feature scenarios that involve raiding, pillaging or foraging and for that I need something for my armies to steal…"

Nicely done. Great for skirmishes and games such as 'Sharpe Practice'. I do not use such things in larger battles as on the day of action the animals and civilians would most likely have fled or been rounded up and eaten (that's the animals I mean).
