I finally got around to painting two previously primed 15mm German sidecar motorcycles that had been sitting on my painting desk for about 3 years. Not on a shelf or in a drawer. On the desk, in view. Anyone else have any similar examples of Paintus Interruptus? |

Yes. Just go to the Bring and Buy at any UK wargames show and marvel at the acres of undercoated GW stuff being offered for sale. |

Absolutely! 2 years between undercoating and finishing my Roger's Rangers! |

Yes – I have a SYW regiment half painted that has been waiting for about 5 years |

I bought these 'baggage heap' camps (I think from Peter Pig) back when Colours was called Armageddon and at the Heaxagon in Reading.
That's probably 30 years ago. I did allocate them to a project but after a bit of preparation, they got sidelined for something more elaborate. Last week, needing some spare, basic, camp elements (for a 'Big Battle' DBA project) I finally finished them. I own up to this with a certain sense of triumph. It took a while but they did finally get painted. Phil SoA Shows North |

pppfh, 5 years, I've had unfinished projects sitting around for a decade or more! Okay Phil wins [/edit] |

Okay Phil wins [/edit] Haha … but it is early days yet – there will be other offenders out there … Phil |

Phil, I am in awe at your procrastination-al wizardry! As a great man once said: "Why put off till tomorrow…what you can put off indefinitely". |

I've got nine Ju88s that I must have had for three or four years. They have been primed but that's as far as I've got. |

Actually sitting on the workbench ? I have a scratchbuilt WW2 Dad's Army large flamethrower thingy that has been waiting a coat of paint for about five years while I continually paint Ancients. Now off the workbench ……. |
Blackhorse MP | 24 Nov 2019 11:08 a.m. PST |
Yes, ON the workbench, where you see it day after day. You get extra points for that. Anybody can have something stored away, out of sight for an extended period. |

I've had some Zombicide zombies standing around for about 4 years. I haven't decided which colors to paint their shoes, yet… ;-) |

I've got a 1/56th scale MRAP that's been sitting on the painting table for at least 5 years now. Its mate is all painted up sitting next to it, awaiting its completion so they can both get a clear coat and into action. The dismounts are right next to them, half painted too… now I have to change the uniform pattern from ACU to OCP… Eric |

The ancient British chariot on my desk may have been there since 2012. The horses are done, but the rest is incomplete. I'm considering repurposing it and using it to transport my Scottish Saga warlord when (if) I get him converted and painted. In 2012, I had no plans to build a Scottish army, and certainly didn't know they'd need a chariot. Grelber |

Sometime in the early to mid 1970s, I received the Airfix Waterloo farmhouse kit. I had no paint or brushes, or any of the other things we all now 'need'. I bought some Humbrol tins from a department store and, using quills from a grouse (we had a trap line into which they sometimes wandered), started in. I never finished, and what I managed was all very sloppy, but these Waterloo armies still defend the basement workshop, where one French cavalry squadron, mounted on balsa wood and ready for the brush, still waits. So, they've been "under construction" for roughly 45 years. Now, they are a part of my joy of the hobby, and I know I will never finish them. Where would the story be in one more gang of badly painted little men? They remind me of home and family, and never fail to make me smile. |

I've got nine Ju88s that I must have had for three or four years. They have been primed but that's as far as I've got. I just finished a set of 5 GHQ M26 Pershing tanks that I bought from Troy Ritter when he left the 6mm scale. I'm thinking that must have been about 12 years ago. Troy, you out there? Care to comment? These were among the most RECENT purchases in my "to be painted" box, which now has over 70 packs of various items waiting … to be painted. Several of those packs were bought via mail order catalogs, meaning essentially that they pre-date the web. Likely purchased in about 1989 or 1990 (I think that was my last catalog mail order purchase.) -Mark (aka: Mk 1) |

Fred Mills wins. My procrastination seems lame by comparison…I just started working again on a Brit Motor Infantry Platoon I got several years ago, and last stopped working upon in 2018. I got nuthin' on these guys! |

I have some Grenadier Orcs that my brother and I started painting in high school back in the 80's. Enamel powder glue helmets and red plate because that is the colors we had. They were moved off the painting table though years ago. Older units on the table were between two and five years old until last month when I began finishing them for the painting challenge on LAF. Now to see if I can keep up the momentum… |

I just finished painting my Orks for Gorkamorka that I started in the late 90's. They have been back and forth on my desk probably half a dozen times over the years as interest keeps going around. |

Let's see here… I have some GW skinks-with-bows (and the accompanying Saurus Warriors) from the Warhammer 4e box, circa 1996. Still not painted. |
