So I am not planning on posting a lot of pictures. But apparently to do so one must have a link that ends in .jpg or .gif. Google Photos and Google Drive do not do this. Where do you put your pictures to get the right looking Urls to post on TMP?

Incorrect.

The server will automatically recognize your URL as a photo if it ends in .jpg or .gif

Otherwise, you will need to use the image tags.

Unfortunately TMP does not support direct pic posting.

I typically post mine on the Triumph Forum, then copy the link from there.

Then you must add the URL codes:

which apparently I cannot type here….

before and after

then it works from most sites. Photobucket started to charge to do this, which reduced my posting.

I think most of us have a blog or two, and we just copy the image address then paste it into TMP!

Lance R20 Nov 2019 12:38 p.m. PST

above I put

after the URL right?

Lance R20 Nov 2019 12:43 p.m. PST

It doesn't let me write that but if I just put the URL

link

Lance R20 Nov 2019 12:46 p.m. PST

There is a link to the picture showing that the URL is good but the coding does not work.

BTW Tried to delete the double post I can not get use to how long this server hangs fire after you click.

Actually, that's a link to a webpage where the picture is. It's not a direct link to the image itself.

This should help:

TMP link

The places Google lets me put pictures don't offer "Image Address" on a right click

Here is one that does

I can find no place that gives .jpg as the terminal characters for an image file

Thanks

Dervel Fezian20 Nov 2019 2:26 p.m. PST

I just used the img code to paste these from another site.

but the site needs to be open, in that it allows a copy of the link to the specific page, no log ins for example.

I've done some testing with my own images on Google Photos, and it appears to me that Google does not allow direct linking to photos.

Correct

I post pictures to my Facebook site, and then to TMP.
