Which ones are reasonably easy to use for bases & modestly priced?

I use a Grass Tech USA – My Little Flocker" static grass applicator. It works very well on smaller bases (28mm Miniatures) and round tree bases but never tried on anything larger. I like it very much and forgot how much I payed for it.

My son made me one from a bug zapper wand I got for $5 USD from harbor freight.

couple of youtube videos and his soldering kit, and its done.

i'm sure it does not work as good as a commercial one, but its plenty good enough for m, and allows me to spend more money on minis and paints instead of specialty tools.
