Reading my old Armies and Enemies of the Middle Ages, I see that there were mounted archers in Spanish armies after 1390, but I've not been able to find a description. Were these mounted infantry archers, or were they light cavalry types? I'd be very grateful if anyone could direct me at a useful source or book.
