I found an author named Cecelia Holland who wrote a book called Sea Beggars and several other historical novels. Has anyone read any of her works.

I have fond memories of her "Until the Sun Falls", about Genghis Khan. That was though maybe 40 years ago.

Jerusalem was quite good

I've read quite a lot of Cecelia Holland. She writes in quite a wide range of historical periods, and is fairly prolific. According to her wikipedia bibliography, her first novel was published in 1966, her last (or latest, at least; a fantasy novel) in 2015, so she has had tine to cover a lot of ground.

IMHO she is always good. One of my favourites is "The Kings in Winter", set in Ireland at the time of the battle of Clontarf.

Read a lot of hers, good author. Sea Beggars was definitely not my favorite though.
