Good Day fellow gamers. Can you recommend a set of man vs alien, phasers & fisticuffs rules with a light touch of role play--similar to the original TSR "BootHill" rules for OST. I've wanted to game it for decades so I pushed the phaser's button on the Modiphius OST miniature sets. With this genre I can use any of my terrain as an alien landscape & any of my horde of figures as the planet's natives. I've also got the Battle Systems "Gothic Core Set" for exploring a derelict ship or spacebase. Thanks. |

If it's OST, then you should call them "Landing Parties" not "Away Teams". |

Two Hour Wargames' 5150 is perfect for this. |

FiveCore is good. I combine two Five Parsecs From Home sets, Salvage Crew and Bug Hunt, for my OST landing party needs. It needs a little tweaking here and there, but it works. All of the above is from Nordic Weasel |

Try Galactic Heroes. Very versatile set of rules and the codex includes stats for OST. |

I'd say Galactic Heroes too. IIRC, there is/are one or more "official" rules sets for this, but don't know if they are any good. I think a new, or re-released set came out not too long ago. |
