Hello all, my latest project has been working with texture skins to make 3D effect buildings in 1/100 scale, I hope you enjoy. I realise that some of the brickworks are quite out of scale but nothing that can't be sorted.

Hi trenchfoot, I think those textures look good. I'm also interested in building and texturing cardboard or paper models. I believe there's a lot of potential in developing this. I print the textures on card stock and glue them to foam board to make houses, towers, chateaux, etc. Getting good photos to make the textures is challenging. Cheers!

I used this site several years ago to obtain textures to clad some paper mache buildings I bought from Michael's. textures.com They have a plethora of different textures. Jim Edit: I see that you already found this site. |

Hey trenchfoot, ColCampbell, Thanks for the link. Lots of goodies there! I'm interested in stonework as I would like to make a Thirty Years War period German Schloss (a small one) in 15mm / 1/100th scale. Cheers!

Another great source of building (and other) textures is 3D computer games (if you happen to have any, of course …) |

That really is very good. Think my British would enjoy storming those houses. |

Works pretty darn well at least from the angles you've taken the photos! Nice! |

those look amazing- I have a question – do they have actual texture like embossed sheets or are they smooth? |
trenchfoot | 20 Nov 2019 9:01 a.m. PST |
Hi Peter they are printed on paper and stuck on to foamboard, the only actual texture is the recessed windows and ivy. |
