Here's a few shots from some of the Friday games in the HAWKs room at Fall-In. While the venue was very nice, the way everything was spread out meant we saw a lot fewer walk-up gamers taking part in our games, and just a general lack of folks coming through the room to check out the games. Down where the HAWKs room was located (Radisson Lower Level) there seemed to be a rabbit warren of a dozen or more small rooms with only 6 to 3 tables in each of them, some of which only ever seemed to have one or two games taking place, or were completely empty, at any one time throughout the con.

FusilierDan Anymore details on that Mid 17th century game in North America? 3rd photo. This is the description of my game from the PEL. "Clash at Palmer's Island, Maryland 1637"Period: Early American, Scale: 25mm, Rules: Feudal Patrol Newly arrived Maryland colonists have informed Virginians settled in the upper bay that the will now obey Maryland law and pay Maryland taxes. The Virginians say that they think they will not. The governor has sent troops to say Oh yes you will. Refight this historical scuffle as the Virginia squatters and their native trading partners or or the Papists claiming their rightful place as granted by Charles I. This is a historical event, though I've not been able to find any details. The Virginia activities in the upper bay were ventures of one William Claiborne. Maryland succeeded in driving Claiborne south of the Potomac and making him a lifelong vengeful enemy. With no details available, I made the scenario up. It is a pretty generic raid scenario. The English figures are the plastic Warlord ECW figures that were Historicon giveaways about 8 years ago. Duncan |
