Last year a Norwegian man was arrested as a spy in Russia, apparently he was a spy. Or more correctly an asset. A regular guy who had a job that often took him over the border so he was recruited. The whole thing was quite amateurish. So he was in a russian jail. Then started the cold war type wheeling and dealing. Apparently Lithuania had to change some laws, so they could trade some Russian spys they had, so we could get our guy back. I don't really know what the Norwegian government gave Lithuania for them to do their stuff. Wife had just been on a weekend trip with her work there, so mabye that was it? To make it even more cold war spyish. When released he walked over the border from Kaliningrad Oblast to Lithuania. |

We've settled for 2 of our spies in exchange for 3. I'd say we're really generous this time of the year…;) At least it worked this time, so families of all involved will be happy. |
