Since 2000 I have taken thousands of wargame photos that are now on my desktop Mac. During that time I have changed computers, at home and at work and I now have multiple copies of most of those photographs in my photos program on the Mac. What do people recommend as a way of sorting through them to find duplicates so I can delete and save some space?

Thanks much

I don't know of one short of going through every file :-(
I have a lenovo program that saves every photo each day that you send or post it. Makes for lots of duplicates.

Hopefully someone comes along and helps us both out.

There is a photo storing application which comes pre-installed on a USB stick which sorts and stores all your images deleting duplicates as it goes.

I'm damned if I can remember what it is called.

I saw it on a YouTube advert.

It was something like this:

Backup to CD/DVD and/or flashdrive at once! (Sort later. ;-)
I had a load of stuff on another PC & lost it all after the hard drive crashed (I can maybe get it recovered for near a thousand $$$…)

Has some suggestions about how to remove duplicates using google photos. I know that google has a program that analyzes images, and can detect duplicates

Good luck, but back everything up first

John
