Interesting that everyone portrays both ranks with lances, despite the historical record. I guess that's so that you can form them into a single line. I know I do it that way. |

Thank you everyone! Widowson, can't speak for others, but another reason may be that in units of only a dozen or so figures, once you include some command, there may only be a couple of lances in the front rank. Thus an aesthetic choice, that also helps make it clear unit represents lancers. |
