Here's a great session report from our play test of Star Schlock at this past weekend's Fall In. The game is a new design by fellow Scrum Con organizer John Sears of the 1,000 Foot General blog.

Here's a post on the game I'm prepping to run at Scrum Con 2020 in the Washington, DC metro area. Each player will get to pick a few gladiators to start their own ludus and then pit them against each other is a series of gladiatorial matches.

Dammit, there are already more games listed that I want to play than I'll have time to play!

JSears05 Dec 2019 8:05 a.m. PST

I'll be running a game at Scrum Con, but I wish I had a chance to play in the other games being run. Some really good looking tables will be making an appearance.

FLEA MARKET

Just a quick note that we have posted the guidelines for our No-Hassle Flea Market for any attendees who would like to "re-home" some of their gaming gear or pick up some cool stuff for their own collection!

We tried this last year, and it worked out really well. We've deliberately structured the flea market so that you can drop off your stuff (up to five items) and spend your day gaming instead of sitting behind a flea market table. With over twice the number of folks attending this year, the selection should be be even better. (I know I sold some games and picked up some cool miniatures at last year's flea market.)

Here are the guidelines! link

FYI, Scrum Con 2020 has 36 games on the schedule, many of them filling up fast.

Enjoy the games.

In DC? What con?

The Bibliophile03 Feb 2020 8:48 a.m. PST

Shthar, yes, SCRUM CON is held in the DC suburb of Silver Spring, Maryland. You can learn more here: link

Why do the Fleamarket like that?

The Bibliophile06 Feb 2020 9:39 p.m. PST

"We've deliberately structured the flea market so that you can drop off your stuff (up to five items) and spend your day gaming instead of sitting behind a flea market table."

The Bibliophile19 Feb 2020 9:15 p.m. PST

With a little over a week to go, SCRUM CON is nearly sold out for a second year running! Out of 275 tickets for seats at a game, we're down to fewer than 10 still available. Better register soon if you're interested in playing in one of our great games.

dapeters20 Feb 2020 1:42 p.m. PST

To many rules about selling whole dollars, self contained, only 5 items. LOL these are gamers we're talking about.
