A picture report, but also some critical thoughts…

Some of those games look breathtaking. I always thought Crisis (and Tactica) set the bar for war gaming. Hopefully the drop in attendance is a "blip".

There may be an explanation to the "drop".

Going by the number of goodie bags distributed at the door, attendance is up from last year.

There were fewer demo games and traders not attending due to various reasons. As a result alleys were wider than previous years, creating fewer bottlenecks.

This probably gave people the impression that it's less crowded and therefore attendance is down.

We actually thought that it felt more or less the same in terms of numbers and several traders I spoke to said that they had done significantly better than usual.

My thoughts were that Hall 1 was much more spacious, but Hall 2 was fuller than usual to the point of being rammed with gamers and traders. My first impressions when I walked in was that it was quieter, but that changed when I went into Hall 2. Maybe that slight imbalance in how the space was used made it feel less busy?

Anyway, we had a great time and really loved the show. I saw quite a few Brits attending for the first time and there were loads of younger gamers in their 20's there which is great for the future of the hobby.

Great looking games and excellent photos, some great close up shots. One game looked like it had to do with Jurassic Park.

I had the impression, that there were less customers. The event organisers declared there were more visitors.
Maybe I'm false? I don't know exactly, but we at our stand had less buyers, compared with the years before.
We will see in the next year.
I'm a great fan of the show and maybe I have only superfluous fears.
I hope so.
Interesting aspect with Hall 1 and Hall 2. We were in Hall 1.

Yes it was a Jurassic Parc Game. 1/32 Tamiya Figures and Dinos. Rules Spectre.
