A Good-Looking Army in a Reasonable Amount of Time

Painting a wargaming army is a completely different beast from painting a single miniature for display.

It's the third and final round of the L' Art de la Guerre tourney at Barrage, and pits the Nikephorian Byzantine era brothers "Sneaker" against the mysterious Khurasans.
Khurasans were contemporaries of the Byzantines, but probably never met due to distance. Their army is a mix of of good cavalry and a lot of medium foot.

Enjoy!

Very good report. The Khurasani elements looked nice, very clean. Difficult to see the Byzantines as all we see is the rear. Perhaps there are some closeups of the Byzantine front?

The Byzantines are all over 30 years old and are showing their age. With the exception of the Varangian Guards, they were not much to look at anyway. For the tourney I did respear them with some wire and reflock them for a uniform look.

Great AAR as always!

Thank you. It's good to hear. Without feed back I can't tell if it is humorous or just silly.

Fun game report! Also like His use of casualty dice. Normally dice seem distracting and, always thought possibly confusing, but these do just the job!
