… Secret B-21 Bomber "The head of the Air Force office overseeing development of the secret B-21 next-generation bomber remarked last month in a public forum that he "would not bet on" the plane accomplishing its first flight as planned in December of 2021. He wasn't signaling trouble with the program, he was simply alluding to the challenges of assembling and testing the most advanced long-range strike aircraft ever conceived. It's about time. The B-52 was flying before I was born and now that I'm retired from the AF it is still flying. The B-21 can't come soon enough. |

Yep, was flying for many years before I was born as well. 1952 for the initial flight, so coming up on a full century of flight, soon. A testament to a well-built, rugged, and flexible design, which has been adaptable to a lot of different roles and tactics. |
