Tom, you seem to be using both Gringo and Empress minis. How are you able to do that? I have found the Empress NVA at least to be totally incompatible to the Gringo figures.

The Gringo figures are indeed a bit bigger. They are not that much bigger that you can't use them along each other. Not all humans are of the same size anyway. The only drawback is the size of the weapons these are slightly bigger on the Gringo miniatures . but I don't mind. what you can do and what i did on some of my Gringo figures , I cut the integral base of . That makes them about 3 mm shorter .

The Gringo40s figures do vary in size (I have all the Marines other than vehicle crews) as indeed do humans. Some come without a base, those sitting or prone.

I do not have any of their NVA (but may yet succumb to temptation) so cannot say if they are smaller than the Marines, as they surely should be. I have never seen a side by side comparison (I guess it might look a bit odd anyway!). I suspect one could get away with shorter and emaciated figures for NVA, better than for US Marines though.

I have a few Empress figures and plan to use only the prone and kneeling figures, where the disparity in size is less obvious. The standing figures will shortly be prone anyway,as wounded or KIA.

Tom, right the weapons are always the issue. People may indeed be different sizes and builds, but an m16 is an m16.
