if only such selection of figures could be accurate

…156 French Infantry Regiments…

they just see that France had raised until a 156th LINE Infantry Regiment and nothing more

actually there were 156 Line Infantry Regiments but less 23 vacants numbers since 1803 = 133

there were also the 34 LIGHT Infantry Regiments

133 + 34 + 8 Swiss & Foreign = 175
and of course more Infantry Regiments of Imperial Guard and others foreign, auxiliaries etc…

Officer casualties were on average quite close to rank and file % wise.
That's why one can roughly guess the total casualties based on just officer casualties.
And in some battles officers would suffer much more % wise than the rank and file.
Officers leading assaults on defences or against steady troops would suffer badly as they encouraged their men and leading from the front.
